Spinney, where depo. with Jacob Remick, 26 Aug. 1729, has words ‘Richard Gowell ag.  ab. 83 y.’ stricken out.  Will 15 Dec. 1729—6 April 1730 names w. Hannah and ch., giving Richard the homestead entailed on him in 1710 aft. fa.’s and mo.’s death.  She was Hannah Remick (Christian), wid. of John Thompson, and declined to serve as exec. 7 Apr. 1730 in favor of ‘my s. Richard G.’  Ch. by unkn. w:  Tamsen, m. 1st one Sheares by Mar. 1687-8, 2d Thos. Hanscom (3).  Martha, in July 1694 had gone to live with Mrs. Crown (1) in Portsm., at £5 per yr. and sued for her pay 12 Nov. 1696. Last ment. witnessing fa.’s fam. Settlement 14 Sept. 1714.  One Martha Green assisting in Thos. Cole’s (32) last sickness is unident. Mary, in 1705 was liv. with Mrs. Elizabeth Harvey of Portsm.; m. Job Hanscom (1).  Sarah, m. 1st Thos. Worcester;  Sarah Chase in fa.’s will. By w. Hannah: Richard, b. 28 Aug. 1685, d. s. p. List 291, Land was laid out to him 1706, one abuttor ‘his uncle Mr. Joshua Remick.’  Will, gent., 26 Jan.—17 Apr. 1744 names w. Hannah, br. Wm., tow nephews.  Hannah, Hannah Taylor in fa.’s will.  Lydia, b. 9 Oct. 1692, m. Saml. Adams (19).  William, b. 28 Jan. 1694, liv. Kit., m. 25 Nov. 1714 Lydia Parker (John). 9 ch.  John, b. 12 Sept. 1697, glazier, Portsm., m. 24 Nov. 1717 Elizabeth Polley (Edw.).  Taxed Portsm. Jan. 1731-2.
