John Kittredge, immigrant, KITTREDGE grant ancestor, received a five acre grant of land in Billerica, September 25, 1660. John Parker is called "his master." His house lot was ten acres of land a mile southeast of the village, near the schoolhouse, and the other lot beyond Pattenville, near the Shawshin river. He married, November 2, 1664, Mary Littlefield, born December 14, 1646, probably daughter of Francis Littlefield, of Woburn. He died October 18. 1676, and his widow married, second, John French. Children: 1. John, born January 24, 1665-66, mentioned below. 2. James, born March 21, 1667-68, married, first, Sarah Fowle; second, April 19, 1708, Mary Abbott. 3. Daniel, born July 22, 1670, married Elizabeth ; died March 8, 1741-42. 4. Jonathan, born July 16, 1674. died March 23, 1696. 5. Benoni, born May 2. 1677.
