James Bunker was granted land by Town of Dover 1693-4 (New England Historic Genealogical Register 5:452).  He participated in defense of Bunker Garrison against Indian attack 17 July 1694, in which only seven garrisons remained, others being destroyed by fire. With his father and brother, Joseph, he signed a petition that Oyster River be made a Township in 1695 (New Hampshire State Papers 9:235).

He married Anne Thomas before 1700, and she died after 1716 when her last child was born; before 1720, when child by second wife, Martha Downs, was born.

James Bunker died in 1722 in New Hampshire.  His seven children were listed in the division of his Estate, 15 May 1759 (Strafford County Deed 47:444).  Attached to this deed is a mp showing in detail the division of their father's Estate - in detail, the division among James, Joseph, Clement and Love Bunker Millet.  His Estate was a considerable sum of Money in those days.
