There is a mystery about Thomas Berwick or Barwicke. There are conflicting details about him and all accounts list him as an only child (or at least do not mention brothers and sisters). However, his mother and wife Ann's mother appear to be the same. If so, that would mean he married either his half sister or full sister if Francis Blount and Francis Berwick are the same person. Note, though, that an alternative parentage exists for Thomas Berwick/Barwicke (see below), so husband and wife may not have been closely related.

"Thomas Barwicke of Bristol, England was a vintner in that town. We have no information about him, except the fact that he married Anne Blount before 1628. Anne was the daughter of Francis and Margaret (Hanbury) Blount of Bristol. Anne died before Oct. 27, 1628, as shown by her father's will which was made on that date." Thomas and Anne had two daughters, Grace 1624-1694, and Anne 1627-?.
