Married in High Roothing, Essex, 2 June 1607 Elizabeth Cattlyn ("Walter Nicholls of Coxhall & Elisabeth Cattlyn of this parish"). She was buried at Great Coggeshall on 11 January 1627/8.
In the 8 February 1635/6 list of those with houses in Cambridge, Gilbert Crackbone was, like Walter Nichols, credited with a house at Fresh Pond, and the two men were admitted to freemanship on the same day, the only two Cambridge men admitted on that day. GILBERT CRACKBONE {1635, Cambridge} also came from Great Coggeshall, Essex, but no genealogical connection has been found between Nichols and Crackbone.
