  • Notes
    • All info from Debbie Patch:

He remained in Holland after his parents died in Demerara. He became rich, was
married and had no children. Could he have been the one who left a legacy to the de Wit children in Demerara?

Ah ha! I have Lucinda in my database, dau of John Derochemont and Elpsy May Shorey. John son of Harry and first wife Anna McKenzie of PEI. Harry son of Fred and Sarah! Bingo!

My line is Fred DeR and Sarah Frances Adams> Amelia Blance DeR and second husband Albert Garland. my grandmother Amelia Julia Garland and Garland Patch> my parents Garland Patch and Ivene Severance > me, Deborah (Patch) Wilson.

This is terrific. I have done tons of research on the Derochemonts and Dewitts. I have not uploaded onto Ancestry. Dragging my feet. I have original family papers as well as an original letter signed by Maximilian. Also some photos of Fred and Sarah Frances that I will be happy to share. They are my great greats. My grandmother talked of her grandparents, Fred and Sarah. She also talked about her mum's brother Harry.

This is great! And to think you are right in Wakefield. I might also have a photo of Harry. Will check.

Don't get lost now! Ha ha!

      Cousin Debbie
